       134 West 73rd Street was situated on a block which lacked consistent historic reference.We therefore had to submit 

design to the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission which closely resembled the 1940's tax photo.The homeowner and LPC were both happy with the design.Upon approval a custom carved wooden match plate and core box were carved to manufacture the baluster in our foundry.The newel posts were cast loose using pieces of a salvage newel from which the dimensions were obtained for the landmark submittal.Top rail moldings were cast in the same fashion.
